Based in the heart of Mayfair, London, the Fox Poker Club is next door to its sister club the Fox Club. Both are situated in elegant five- storey Georgian town houses dating back to the 18th century.

Both Clubs are named after Charles Fox (1749 - 1806) who lived in what is now the Fox Club, although in fact the house was the home of Mrs Amitstead, the leading courtesan of the 18th Century. She was the mistress of Charles Fox, a leading Whig Politician, a gambler (who had to be bailed out by the prime minister), a "Jack the lad" and the sort of person you would want to be in your club.
